Copyright on Christian works.

Hello, friends and brothers. 
Do you think Christian works such as books, DVDs and music should be copyrighted? Jesus told us, freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8) Don Francisco offers all his music for free, only asking for a small donation in return. If every Christian E-Book, DVD and stuff like that was the same, it would be great.
If I ever have intellectual property, I'll release it free of copyright or under the GNU General Public License.
What are your thoughts about this?
